All career counselling services provided by FSECC Inc. throughout the company's 20-year history have been designed and delivered by Barry Yeates. His extensive training experience in Canada and abroad includes work with organizations and individuals in the government, corporate, political, legal, media, education, and non-governmental organization sectors.
Barry joined the then Department of External Affairs as a Foreign Service officer in 1977. He served in the Media Relations Office in Ottawa and later as Executive Assistant to the Ambassador at the Canadian Embassy in Washington. Among other duties, he specialized in political reporting on Central America and the Caribbean. In subsequent consulting roles Barry has carried out projects for governments at the federal, provincial and municipal levels in human resources, trade development, education, and training.
Barry holds a Master's degree from the University of Guelph. He has taught at Guelph and Carleton Universities, has delivered corporate training programs for scores of North American organizations, and has presented on career-related topics at hundreds of universities, schools and conferences in Canada, the U.S. and Europe.
